Orange Shirt Day – September 30th

Orange shirt day is just one of the many opportunities we have throughout the year to grow our understanding, and to show our support towards reconciliation.

Orange shirt day is a growing movement that has started out of a former Indigenous student’s account of having her brand-new orange shirt taken away from her on her first day of school.

Wearing an orange shirt is meant to recognize the harm that was done to residential school students and to show a commitment to the principle that every child matters.

We will be having Orange Shirt Day here at Glenwood on Wednesday, September 30th.  We are encouraging all students and staff to wear orange to support children everywhere.
