Our Welcome Conversations are scheduled for Thursday October 1 from 3:10 to 7pm. This is an opportunity to enhance communication between parents and teachers, and to give parents and teachers the opportunity to share their perceptions regarding the student’s social, emotional, and intellectual development. The time we all take to discuss students has an enormous impact on their attitude to learning and to success in the classroom.
We have created an online booking system that can be found through Welcome Conversation booking link. To sign up, please select your child’s teacher’s name. Please complete the questionnaire that has come home with your child today as part of your preparation for the meeting.
The following points are important parts of our welcome conversations:
BEFORE THE CONVERSATION:
Discuss the upcoming interview with your child to see if there is anything he or she would like you to talk about with the teacher. This will assist discussions with your child’s teachers.
DURING THE CONVERSATION:
It is hoped that the individual interview will provide the opportunity to discuss some of the following:
- goals and expectations for this year
- your child’s progress and development
- hobbies, interests and abilities
- responsibilities at home and school
- concerns that you may have as parents.
Please also note that there will be anearly dismissal at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026.
