As part of our reporting of student progress to parents, students at Glenwood Elementary will be involved in Student-Led Conferences. These conferences will take place on Thursday, May 7. An integral part of the primary and intermediate program involves students evaluating their own attitudes, work habits and progress. Allowing children to play a role in their own evaluation helps develop responsibility and pride in one’s work. This is a time for parents to acknowledge their child’s success and provide support and encouragement.
The conferences involve students and their parents/guardians. The purpose is to showcase your child’s accomplishments – they will be your guide and will highlight selected pieces of work or areas of interest. The format will vary somewhat from classroom to classroom with activities or stations in each classroom.
This is an opportunity for parents to gain further insight into their child’s work. We look forward to seeing you!
